BASE-V is a group of artists from São Paulo, Brazil. It started in 2002 with the publishing of the experimental magazine "V". After that, the group´s web site became a comunity of experimental graphic artists, exibiting works from all over the world ever since. The group works with several medias, from artesanal publications to graphic instalations, mixing supports and materials, participating in galery shows and street interventions.

Independent publications
have been a strong field of production, including the second edition of "V" and the birth of a digital magazine called "Maguila", witch is now coming to its 10th issue. The group has participated in some important publications and design productions, such as StereoPublication, 45//30 Magazine, Blank Magazine, Simples Magazine and worked with partners like Trama Records, Next Five Minutes, Tactical Media Brazil, Projeto Nave and expositions at Hipe Gallery (London), Museum of Contemporary Art of Bogotá (Colombia), Choque Cultural and Museum of Contemporary Art of Americana (both in Brazil).

Future Projects includes the publishig of manufactured editions, a xerox book and new editions of "V" magazine and "Maguila", as well as working to open space for free experimentations in graphics arts and design. BASE-V tries to create new fields, especially in graphic arts and publications, using milenar techniques or digital media, to expand the acess to all this production, from us and other artists around the world.

Today, BASE-V is formed by Danilo Oliveira,
David Magila, Anderson Freitas e Rafael Coutinho.
